Carstens Heinz Siery Island XL
Carstens Fat Lava vase from the 1960’s - 1970’s
This beautiful vase was made in the 1960s at the Carstens Tönnieshof pottery studio in West Germany.
The decor name is 'Island' and is designed by Heinz Siery.
The vase has a height of 34cm and is very heavy.
The vase has two very shallow glaze knicks to the rim (pictured) its only flaws. The base is marked 228-34 and has the famous Carstens deep red clay.
Please note all ‘fat lava’ genre pieces do have some natural irregularities to the finish
